ooh buddy

went to the gym today, first time since my last post. mentally i did a hell of a lot better, though physically it was almost the same routine. 15 mins on the treadmill, 10 on the elliptical, and a range of machines and various repetitions between the two. But hey, in my mind i had a 'big win' as those freaks like to say. I think treadmill before elliptical not only keeps me more interested in what's going on, but it also doesn't hurt my knees as much. now i am currently trying to figure out what to have for dinner. I think my mom wanted to get pizza, and the idea is now almost causing me to drool.

Damnit.

Day 1 Aftermath

This happens constantly. the moment I decide to start eatin' and livin' healthy, BAM.

I started yesterday off awesome. Not as awesome as I had hoped, I was a little under-goal at the gym. I had planned on running at least 45. I ran 22. Still, I am proud that I ran, cuz I hate that shit. I did about 10 reps each on the arm machines and 50 reps on the ab machine. No change in most of my stats yet so i'm not going to post them. Oh no, already I am losing motivation. Anyway, did the gym thing, came home and made a kickass dinner. Home made Marinara sauce with spaghetti,(yay learned a new recipe!) pan seared chicken breast, and asparagus and a salad. those salad-in-a-bag deals aren't too bad when you doctor them a little. I picked up "red leaf lettuce" (which is not red-leaved) and added it in, just the tastey kick the salad needed I think.

In the end, I fucked up. 3 smores, 3 toasted 'mallows, two hot dogs and 3 cokes later, the bonfire at my boyfriend's was kickass. Though today I am making up for it. I am allowing myself one coke to satisy my sugar and caffeine hankerings, then its water and milk only for the rest of the day. Damn you addictions, Damn you.

Daily Caloric Intake: No idea yet.
Changes since last post: Slightly sore muscles.
exercise Goals: Taking the day off to let my body rest up before tomorrow. right now i'm gonna go every-other day until my muscles stop complaining.
exercise Achievements: run 45 mins next time
Diet/Intake Goals: Only water and milk, Maybe juice but only if its 100%
Diet/Intake Achievements: i ate asparagus!
Something I just plain feel good about: gettin my hair 'trimmed' today, not sure how it'll end up looking!

please hold ..

So, i don't have much time to post cuz my lappy power supply is in Johnstown, but shortly -

I have no idea what i am right now, measurement wise.

But as of a few weeks ago, I was roughly
Hips: 39
Waist: 29
Weight: 138ish

At least today, i feel about that. Last week i felt hefty. Next week i'll be in a womanly way and will probably feel bulky again.

Someone called my place of business today and asked Dave when her female bird, who layed an egg, would become a male bird again. (Someone told her birds go back and forth between sexes. I suppose they meant like the clown fish male becoming a female ?)

Then she asked why it's laying eggs when there is no males.
Dave attempted to explain that even humans 'lay eggs' (release them from folicle cells at least.. . . see the 2nd paragraph up) and birds experience a "feminine cycle" just like we do.

"Feminine cycling? Like what, the sport?"

Dave is a patient, patient person. And hopefully this asshat will turn over her female cockatoo to the parrot rescue any day now.

Wow, that was quite a rant. Anyways.

Currently, i'm using Nutridiary to track what i eat; i like it because it charts progress for ya and you can set it to automatically deduct so many calories (in terms of pounds) from one day's caloric needs and as long as you meet your ND suggested caloric intake you should, in theory, lose weight. This worked, actually, scientifically tested, as in human phys we tracked our cal in vs cals out and using ND and that whole "3 a day thing" i lost 2 pounds (note: ND calculated i should have lost 1.5 lbs, not 2. So, the whole 3 a day thing may have some value to it.)

However, it would appear as tho that after so many weeks of restricting calorie intake, your body holds on to what it has, and increasing diet to a normal 1500+ cals/day diet is, dare i say, necesarry for further loss.

Plateaus are teh devil.

Anyways, this is roughly the lowest i've been in at least 2 years if not ever, and considering i was 158 back in January, i'm sure pleased to be where i am.

Ok, i think goals are important, so here are mine.

Long term goal: 120-125lbs by November (or earlier.) Healthy diet consistantly. Lookin' fit, and i dare say comfortable enough to wear those dresses hanging in my closest for the past 4 years in public. Look hot for the boy.

Short term goal: 130 lbs by June 23. Find a gym. Get in to a routine.

Weekly Diet Goal: Eat healthy. Try to get my 3 a day.
Weekly WO (workout) Goal: None.

I would normally set a work out goal, but dammit, i'm beat already and have 3 more days of work and tons of apartment cleaning. So in place of a work out goal, i'll just plan on getting -one- room in this apartment "red up" (lol. i said red up.)

Ok, lappy battery slowly dieing. Said what i said. Now for some links:

Welcome to Perdez-Le. The term is French for "Lose It." As in, I and my esteemed blogging buddies are using this as a means of tracking our efforts in getting fit and saying "fuck you fat!". Since our schedules and locales prevent us from exercising together and such, we're using the internet instead. We feel that by posting our goals, our achievements, and our techniques (both successful or otherwise) we will be able to help each other and provide a unique support group. Sort of like those 'lean cuisine' commercials, but electronically. Mind you, our goals involve becoming fit and active, and within the suggested weight range for our heights. We in no way support, endorse, or advise disorders such as Anorexia or Bulemia, and if you are considering or are currently suffering from an eating disorder, we urge you to find psychological therapy and wish you the best. The best way to get fit is not using pills, starvation, vomiting, or fad diets. Eating healthy (and learning to eat healthy!) and proper exercise is essential. We suggest consulting a dietician and a personal trainer before beginning diet and exercise plans, particularly because the methods used by the authors of this blog may not be healthy or appropriate for you. We are not professionals in regards to weight loss, so do not ask us for advice, please.

now on to the format! This will probably change more as we learn more about weight loss, but as it is, after general discussion (things like "the guy on the treadmill kept leering at me!" and "oooh those cookies were calling my name") I'd ask that each poster include the following, though none are "required". I'm going to try to post them all myself.
